ABOUT NORA

Nora Lonergan was born and raised in Orlando, FL and has always been known for her overactive imagination. Her idea of “fun” as a kid was reading and writing stories, playing classical piano, and organizing plays (and later, movie shoots) with all the neighborhood children. In high school, she found a new passion in TV production classes and decided to pivot her career goal from novelist to filmmaker.

Nora attended Florida State University’s Film School and graduated with a BFA in Film Production. After graduation, she moved to Atlanta to intern at Adult Swim and later worked in production on various films and television shows. Most notably, as Assistant to Producers on seasons 2 - 5 of MacGyver.

These days, Nora spends most of her time developing projects with producing partner David Straiton. She hopes to tell unique, untold stories that uplift marginalized voices, with a particular interest in women’s and Latinx stories.

When she’s not working, Nora enjoys reading mystery novels, cooking vegetarian meals, and rocking out to live music.
